• matching or potentially matching text;

• Plagiarism Report information.

4.2 AI Detector

When you use the AI Detector, we may process:

• information necessary for automated or model-based processing.

4.3 Grammar Checker

When you use the Grammar Checker, we may process:

If payment card information is submitted directly to a third-party payment processor, Revisy generally does not receive or store your complete payment card number or card security code.

• Membership Credit balance;

• Credits used;

• Service used;

• Credit reset information;

Our use of information to improve Revisy is subject to the User Content and AI-training limitations described in this Privacy Policy.

Certain Revisy Services use artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural-language processing, or related technologies provided by Revisy or third-party technology providers.

User Content may be processed using these technologies in order to provide functions such as:

• AI detection;
• grammar analysis;
• writing suggestions;
• text transformation;
• plagiarism or similarity analysis;
• citation assistance; and
• related results.

User Content submitted to Revisy is processed for the purpose of providing, operating, securing, and supporting the requested Services.

Where third-party AI or technology providers process User Content on our behalf, we require them to process that information only for authorized purposes, subject to our contractual arrangements and applicable law.

Revisy does not use your User Content, including papers, essays, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, assignments, uploaded documents, or submitted text, to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

We also require third-party AI service providers that process User Content on our behalf not to use such User Content to train their general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

User Content may be processed as technically necessary to:

• provide the Service you request;
• maintain Service functionality;
• protect the security and integrity of the Services;
• troubleshoot technical problems; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We may use aggregated, de-identified, or statistical information that does not reasonably identify you or reveal the contents of your documents to understand Service performance and improve Revisy, subject to applicable law.

We do not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you submit it to Revisy.

Certain Revisy Services produce automated results, including:

• AI detection results;
• similarity results;
• grammar suggestions;
• transformed text;
• citation suggestions; and
• other automated analyses.

These results are intended to assist users.

They should not necessarily be treated as definitive determinations of authorship, plagiarism, academic misconduct, employment suitability, legal responsibility, or other matters that may significantly affect an individual.

Revisy does not generally use AI Detector or Plagiarism Checker results by themselves to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning users.

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.

We may disclose information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including providers of:

• cloud hosting and infrastructure;

Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for Revisy to operate properly. Disabling these technologies may affect certain features or prevent parts of the Services from functioning correctly.

We may also use analytics technologies to understand how users interact with Revisy, such as which pages are visited, which features are used, how users navigate through the Services, and whether technical errors occur.

Depending on the technologies implemented on Revisy, certain third-party service providers may place or access cookies or similar technologies in connection with analytics, security, payment processing, or other services they provide to us.

We generally retain Account information while your Account remains active.

After an Account is deleted or terminated, certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for:

• establishment or defense of legal claims.

19.2 User Content and Documents

User Content and documents submitted to Revisy are stored on an ongoing basis and do not automatically expire solely because a particular Service has been completed.

This allows users to continue accessing applicable documents, content, results, reports, or Service history through their Account where such functionality is available.

User Content may remain stored until:

• you delete applicable User Content using Revisy functionality;
• you request deletion where you have an applicable legal right;
• your Account is deleted and the applicable content is scheduled for deletion;
• Revisy deletes the information under its retention practices; or
• deletion is required by applicable law.

Certain information may be retained after a deletion request where retention is required or permitted by applicable law, including for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or establishment or defense of legal claims.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security systems, or disaster-recovery systems until it is deleted or overwritten in accordance with applicable backup and retention cycles.

19.3 Billing and Transaction Records

We may retain billing, transaction, tax, accounting, refund, and related records for periods required or permitted by applicable tax, accounting, financial, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.

19.4 Customer Support Records

We may retain support communications for a reasonable period to resolve issues, maintain support history, improve support operations, and protect legal rights.

19.5 Security and Fraud Records

Security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention records may be retained for a reasonable period based on security needs and applicable law.

We recognize that documents submitted to Revisy may contain:

• unpublished research;

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect User Content.

Access to User Content is limited to personnel and service providers who have a legitimate operational, technical, support, security, or legal need to access the information.

Revisy does not use the contents of your papers, essays, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, assignments, or other submitted documents to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

Submitting User Content to Revisy does not transfer ownership of that User Content to Revisy.

You should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive or confidential information and should redact such information where appropriate.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

Depending on the nature of the information and Service, these safeguards may include:

• encryption in transit;
• access controls;
• authentication mechanisms;
• least-privilege access practices;
• logging and monitoring;

However, no online service, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
