Terms of Service

For purposes of these Terms:

“Account” means a registered Revisy user account.

“Additional Credits” means Credits or word-based usage allowances purchased separately from the recurring allowance, if any, included with a Membership.

“Credits” means usage units made available through a Membership, separate purchase, promotion, or other Revisy offering and used for eligible Services.

“Membership” means a paid Revisy subscription plan.

“Order” means a purchase of a Membership, Additional Credits, Plagiarism Report, or another paid Service.

“Plagiarism Report” means a plagiarism or similarity report generated through Revisy following an applicable one-time purchase.

“Services” means revisy.ai and Revisy’s browser-based products, tools, features, and related services.

“User Content” means text, documents, papers, essays, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, assignments, prompts, citations, references, files, or other materials submitted to Revisy.

“Output” means content, suggestions, scores, analyses, transformations, citations, reports, or other results generated by or through the Services.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

If you use Revisy on behalf of an organization, institution, company, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

If you are not legally able to enter into these Terms yourself, you may use the Services only with any authorization or consent required by applicable law.

Certain Revisy features may require an Account.

You agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep applicable Account information reasonably up to date.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• activities conducted through your Account;
• using reasonable measures to protect your Account; and
• promptly notifying Revisy if you become aware of unauthorized access or use.

You may not sell, transfer, rent, or otherwise make your Account available to another person in violation of these Terms.

Revisy may take reasonable measures to protect Accounts and the Services from unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, or security threats.

Revisy provides browser-based academic and writing-related tools, which may include:

• Plagiarism Checker;
• AI Detector;
• Grammar Checker;
• AI Humanizer;
• Citation Generator; and
• related account, document, billing, and support functionality.

Features may vary depending on your Account, Membership, purchase, location, Service availability, and other applicable conditions.

Revisy does not currently provide a native mobile application.

Certain Revisy features may be available without payment, while other features may require:

• a Membership;
• Credits;
• Additional Credits;
• a one-time purchase; or
• another payment arrangement displayed through the Services.

The availability, limitations, usage allowances, and features of free and paid Services may differ.

Applicable pricing, billing terms, usage allowances, and other purchase information will be presented through the Services, Pricing page, or checkout process before you complete an applicable purchase.

Revisy may offer Membership plans including:

• Monthly Membership;
• Six-Month Membership;
• Annual Membership; and
• other plans that may be introduced from time to time.

The applicable price, billing period, included benefits, Credit allowance, and other material terms will be displayed before purchase.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, Memberships automatically renew until canceled.

Memberships are recurring subscriptions.

Unless otherwise stated when you purchase:

• a Monthly Membership automatically renews each month;
• a Six-Month Membership automatically renews every six months; and
• an Annual Membership automatically renews each year.

By purchasing an automatically renewing Membership, you authorize Revisy and its payment service providers to charge your selected payment method at the beginning of each applicable renewal period for the then-applicable Membership price, plus applicable taxes, unless you cancel before renewal.

Before purchase, Revisy will present applicable material subscription terms, which may include:

• the subscription price;
• billing period;
• renewal frequency;
• automatic renewal terms;
• included benefits or usage allowances; and
• available cancellation information.

By completing the applicable subscription purchase, you consent to the recurring charges disclosed to you at checkout.

Where required by applicable law, Revisy will provide renewal, price-change, or other subscription notices.

Plagiarism Reports and Additional Credits are not recurring subscriptions unless Revisy expressly presents and you separately authorize an automatic purchase or replenishment feature.

8.1 Membership Credit Allowance

Eligible Memberships may include a recurring Credit allowance.

The amount of Credits included with your Membership will be displayed through the applicable Pricing page, purchase flow, Account, or Service interface.

8.2 Credit Consumption

Membership Credits may be used across eligible Services, including:

• AI Detector;
• Grammar Checker; and
• AI Humanizer.

Unless otherwise stated, eligible Services may deduct Credits according to the number of words submitted for processing.

Different Services or features may have different limits or Credit requirements.

8.3 Word Counting

Revisy may determine word counts using its own technical processing methods.

Word counts may differ from counts displayed by third-party word processors, document editors, or other software because of formatting, symbols, citations, tables, metadata, tokenization, or other technical factors.

The word count displayed or calculated by Revisy for a transaction or Credit deduction will govern that Revisy transaction unless an error occurred.

8.4 Credit Reset and Rollover

Membership Credits are provided according to the applicable Membership terms.

Unless otherwise stated, recurring Membership Credits reset according to the applicable monthly Credit cycle and do not roll over into subsequent Credit cycles.

Unused Membership Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.

Revisy may allow users to purchase Additional Credits or word packs.

Applicable package size, price, usage conditions, and other material terms will be displayed before purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases of Additional Credits are one-time purchases and do not automatically renew.

Additional Credits:

• are not legal tender;
• have no cash value;
• cannot be transferred between users unless Revisy expressly permits it;
• may be subject to usage or expiration conditions disclosed at purchase; and
• may be subject to Account or Membership requirements disclosed through the Services.

If Revisy introduces an automatic Credit replenishment feature, it will require separate authorization where required by applicable law.

10.1 Purpose

Revisy’s Plagiarism Checker analyzes submitted content for potential textual similarities or matches with available sources.

A similarity result or match does not, by itself, establish plagiarism, copyright infringement, academic misconduct, or improper attribution.

Likewise, the absence of an identified match does not guarantee that content is original or free from plagiarism.

Users remain responsible for reviewing the report and applying appropriate academic, institutional, professional, or publication standards.

10.2 Separate Purchase

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Plagiarism Reports are purchased separately and are not included in a Membership.

10.3 Word-Count-Based Pricing

The price of a Plagiarism Report may depend on the word count of the submitted document.

The applicable price will be displayed before purchase.

The final amount, including applicable taxes or charges, will be presented before you authorize payment.

10.4 One Report per Purchase

Unless otherwise stated, a Plagiarism Report purchase applies to one report for the applicable submitted document.

A revised, replaced, edited, or newly submitted document may require a new analysis and separate purchase.

AI Detector uses automated technology to analyze submitted text and estimate characteristics associated with AI-generated or human-generated writing.

AI Detector results are probabilistic estimates and are not definitive proof of authorship or the use or non-use of artificial intelligence.

Revisy does not guarantee that:

• AI-generated content will always be detected;
• human-written content will never be flagged;
• different AI detection systems will produce the same result; or
• results will remain unchanged as models and technologies evolve.

AI Detector results should be considered together with other relevant information and human judgment.

You should not rely on an AI Detector result as the sole basis for decisions that materially affect another person’s academic standing, employment, legal rights, or similarly significant interests.

Grammar Checker may provide automated suggestions relating to:

• grammar;
• spelling;
• punctuation;
• clarity;
• style;
• word choice;
• sentence structure; and
• other writing characteristics.

Suggestions may be incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate for a particular context.

You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to accept any suggestion.

Revisy does not guarantee that Grammar Checker will identify every error or produce error-free writing.

AI Humanizer may revise or transform submitted text, including its wording, sentence structure, tone, style, or presentation.

You are responsible for reviewing resulting content and verifying:

• factual accuracy;
• intended meaning;
• citations and references;
• claims;
• tone;
• authorship requirements;
• academic integrity requirements; and
• compliance with applicable institutional or professional rules.

Revisy does not guarantee that AI Humanizer will preserve every aspect of the original meaning or satisfy any particular academic, professional, institutional, or publication standard.

Revisy does not guarantee that content processed using AI Humanizer will bypass, evade, or receive any particular result from AI detection systems.

Citation Generator assists users in creating citations and references.

The Service may process information including:

• author;
• title;
• publication date;
• journal or publication;
• publisher;
• volume;
• issue;
• page numbers;
• DOI;
• ISBN;
• URL; and
• other bibliographic metadata.

Citation information may be based on information supplied by you or obtained from third-party metadata sources.

Revisy may support citation styles such as APA, MLA, Chicago, or other formats.

Revisy does not guarantee that:

• third-party metadata is complete or correct;
• a source is correctly identified;
• every citation reflects the latest version of a citation style;
• every exception or special citation rule is applied; or
• generated citations satisfy a particular institution, instructor, publisher, or journal.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying citations before using them.

When you place an Order, you agree to provide accurate information reasonably required to complete the transaction.

Before completing an Order, Revisy will display the applicable price and other material purchase terms.

By submitting an Order, you authorize the applicable charge to your selected payment method.

An Order may be declined, canceled, or subject to additional verification where reasonably necessary because of:

• payment failure;
• suspected fraud;
• technical errors;
• incorrect pricing;
• legal requirements;
• security concerns; or
• other legitimate reasons.

Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout and may vary depending on location, currency, device, transaction, or payment availability.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment service providers.

Revisy does not guarantee that every payment method will always be available.

If complete payment card information is entered directly into a third-party payment provider’s payment interface, Revisy does not directly receive or store your complete card number or card security code.

Prices displayed through Revisy may or may not include applicable taxes depending on your location and applicable law.

You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, levies, or similar governmental charges associated with your purchase except where Revisy is legally required to collect or remit them.

Applicable taxes will be displayed where required during checkout or on applicable transaction documentation.

If an applicable payment fails, is declined, expires, or cannot otherwise be completed, Revisy may:

• request an updated payment method;
• retry the payment where permitted;
• restrict paid functionality;
• suspend applicable Membership benefits; or
• cancel the Membership.

You remain responsible for valid amounts incurred before cancellation or suspension.

You may cancel your Membership at any time through the cancellation method made available through Revisy.

Where available, cancellation may be completed through:

Account → Billing / Subscription → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription

or another online cancellation method provided through the Services.

To avoid the next recurring charge, you must cancel before the applicable renewal is processed.

Cancellation generally:

• stops future automatic renewals;
• does not automatically refund amounts already charged;
• does not normally terminate access to paid Membership benefits before the end of the current paid period; and
• does not automatically cancel or refund separate purchases such as Plagiarism Reports or Additional Credits.

Where required by applicable law, Revisy will provide an online or otherwise legally compliant cancellation method and will not impose unreasonable barriers to cancellation.

Your statutory cancellation or consumer rights, where applicable, are not limited by this Section.

Revisy may change Membership prices, Credit pricing, Plagiarism Report pricing, or other Service pricing from time to time.

Price changes will not retroactively change a completed purchase.

For automatically renewing Memberships, a new price may apply to a future renewal only after any notice required by applicable law or the applicable subscription terms.

If you do not wish to continue a Membership following an applicable price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

This Section constitutes the Revisy Refund Policy for purchases made directly through Revisy.

Nothing in this Section limits refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

21.1 Membership Payments

Membership payments are generally non-refundable after they have been charged, except:

• where required by applicable law;
• where expressly stated in applicable purchase terms; or
• where Revisy determines that a refund is appropriate under this Refund Policy.

Cancelling a Membership prevents applicable future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current paid period.

21.2 Renewal Charges

Renewal charges are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Revisy determines that a refund is appropriate.

We may review refund requests involving circumstances such as:

• you canceled before renewal but were nevertheless charged;
• an incorrect amount was charged;
• a duplicate charge occurred;
• an unauthorized transaction occurred;
• a verified billing or technical error occurred; or
• you have an applicable statutory refund or cancellation right.

Failure to use the Services after a valid renewal, by itself, does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

21.3 Membership Credits

Credits consumed through use of the Services are generally non-refundable.

Unused Membership Credits:

• have no cash value;
• are not redeemable for cash; and
• may reset according to the applicable Membership Credit cycle.

21.4 Additional Credits

Purchases of Additional Credits are generally non-refundable except where:

• required by applicable law;
• expressly stated otherwise at purchase; or
• a verified billing or technical issue occurred.

Consumed Additional Credits are generally non-refundable.

Cancellation of a Membership does not automatically result in a refund of separately purchased Additional Credits.

21.5 Plagiarism Reports

Because Plagiarism Reports involve document-specific processing, refund eligibility may depend on whether processing has begun.

If you purchase a Plagiarism Report but processing has not begun, you may contact Revisy promptly to request cancellation and a refund, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.

Once processing has begun or the applicable Plagiarism Report has been generated or delivered, the purchase is generally non-refundable except where:

• required by applicable law;
• Revisy failed to provide the purchased Service because of a verified Revisy technical failure;
• an incorrect amount was charged;
• a duplicate charge occurred;
• the transaction was unauthorized; or
• another verified billing error occurred.

Dissatisfaction with a similarity score, identified match, source, or result does not by itself create a right to a refund where the purchased analysis was successfully provided.

21.6 Technical Failures

If a verified Revisy technical failure causes Credits to be deducted without meaningful processing or prevents a purchased Service from being delivered, Revisy may, depending on the circumstances:

• restore applicable Credits;
• provide replacement Credits;
• rerun the applicable process;
• provide a replacement report;
• extend applicable access; or
• provide a partial or full refund.

The appropriate remedy may depend on the nature of the failure and applicable law.

21.7 AI-Generated Results

Subjective dissatisfaction with the style, wording, usefulness, or other characteristics of an AI-generated or automated Output does not by itself entitle you to a refund where the applicable Service successfully processed the request.

21.8 Refund Requests

To request a refund, contact:

support@revisy.ai

Your request should include, where available:

• the email address associated with your Account;
• transaction or invoice identifier;
• purchase date;
• applicable product or Service; and
• reason for the request.

Do not send your complete payment card number or card security code by email.

21.9 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method unless another method is required by applicable law or circumstances outside Revisy’s reasonable control.

The time required for an approved refund to appear may depend on the applicable payment provider or financial institution.

21.10 Promotional Credits

Promotional or complimentary Credits generally:

• have no cash value;
• are not refundable;
• are not transferable unless expressly stated; and
• may expire according to applicable promotional terms.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights to cancel a transaction, withdraw from a contract, or receive a refund.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

Where a legally required withdrawal, cancellation, or refund right applies, Revisy will honor that right in accordance with applicable law.

You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content.

Revisy does not acquire ownership of your papers, essays, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, assignments, research materials, documents, or other User Content merely because you submit them to the Services.

You grant Revisy a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and otherwise use User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Services;
• generate requested Outputs;
• maintain applicable document or Service history;
• operate and secure the Services;
• provide customer support;
• troubleshoot technical problems;
• prevent fraud or abuse; and
• comply with applicable law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions reasonably necessary to submit User Content and permit Revisy to process it in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

23.1 Storage of User Content

User Content submitted to Revisy may be stored on an ongoing basis and does not automatically expire solely because a particular Service has been completed.

This allows you to continue accessing applicable documents, content, results, reports, or Service history where such functionality is available.

Eligible User Content may be deleted through functionality made available through the Services or through applicable privacy rights and request procedures described in our Privacy Policy.

Certain information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security systems, or other systems or may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law.

Additional information about retention and deletion is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Certain Revisy Services use artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural-language processing, or related automated technologies.

You are responsible for the User Content and instructions you submit and for reviewing Outputs before relying on or using them.

Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for your intended purpose.

You should independently review important factual statements, citations, references, academic claims, and other information before use.

24.1 No Training on User Content

Revisy does not use your User Content, including papers, essays, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, assignments, uploaded documents, or submitted text, to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

Revisy also requires third-party AI service providers that process User Content on Revisy’s behalf not to use such User Content to train their general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

User Content may be processed as technically necessary to provide the Service you request, maintain Service functionality, protect the security and integrity of the Services, troubleshoot technical problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Revisy may use aggregated, de-identified, or statistical information that does not reasonably identify you or reveal the contents of your documents to understand Service performance and improve the Services, subject to applicable law.

Revisy does not guarantee that automated or AI-generated results are:

• accurate;
• complete;
• error-free;
• current;
• unique;
• suitable for a particular purpose; or
• accepted by any academic institution, instructor, publisher, employer, platform, AI detector, plagiarism system, or other third party.

Automated results should be treated as assistance rather than definitive determinations.

You remain responsible for reviewing Outputs and deciding how they should be used.

Revisy provides tools intended to assist with research, writing, citation, editing, originality review, and related academic or professional tasks.

You are responsible for using Revisy in accordance with:

• applicable academic integrity policies;
• institutional rules;
• instructor requirements;
• examination rules;
• publication requirements;
• professional standards; and
• applicable laws.

You may not use Revisy to facilitate academic dishonesty, impersonation, fraud, or other prohibited conduct.

Revisy does not guarantee that use of a particular feature or Output complies with the policies of your institution, instructor, publisher, employer, or other organization.

Revisy may rely on third-party providers for functions such as:

• cloud hosting;
• storage;
• AI processing;
• plagiarism or similarity analysis;
• citation or bibliographic metadata;
• payment processing;
• authentication;
• analytics;
• email delivery;
• security; and
• other technical or operational functions.

Third-party data, metadata, services, or technology may contain errors, become unavailable, or change without notice.

Revisy does not control independent third-party services.

Our collection, use, storage, disclosure, and protection of personal information and User Content is described in our Privacy Policy.

Revisy may use Service usage information, performance information, diagnostic information, feedback, and aggregated or de-identified information to maintain, evaluate, secure, and improve the Services.

As stated in Section 24, Revisy does not use User Content to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

Additional information regarding our data practices is provided in our Privacy Policy.

You may not use the Services to:

• violate applicable law;
• infringe intellectual property or other rights;
• submit content you do not have the right to process;
• engage in fraud or deception;
• facilitate academic dishonesty or impersonation;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• interfere with the security or operation of Revisy;
• attempt unauthorized access to Accounts, systems, or data;
• circumvent usage limits or access controls;
• scrape or extract data through unauthorized automated means;
• reverse engineer the Services except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
• use the Services to harm another person;
• abuse payment, refund, promotional, or Credit systems; or
• use the Services in another manner prohibited by these Terms.

Revisy may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action.

Except for User Content and third-party materials, Revisy and its licensors own or retain all applicable rights in the Services, including:

• software;
• interfaces;
• designs;
• branding;
• logos;
• text;
• graphics;
• databases;
• technology;
• documentation; and
• other proprietary materials.

Subject to these Terms, Revisy grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services for their intended purposes.

No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

Revisy respects intellectual property rights.

If you believe content available through Revisy infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may contact:

Your notice should include sufficient information for Revisy to identify and evaluate the reported material and your claim.

Where applicable, Revisy may request information required under applicable copyright law.

If you provide ideas, suggestions, recommendations, or other feedback regarding Revisy, you grant Revisy permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This Section does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Revisy.

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, databases, services, research platforms, payment services, or other resources.

Revisy does not control and is not responsible for independent third-party services, content, terms, availability, security, or privacy practices.

Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that third party’s own terms and policies.

Revisy may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.

We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or that the Services will operate without interruption or error.

Where a change materially affects an existing paid Service or Membership, Revisy will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law.

We may perform maintenance or make changes necessary for security, reliability, technical, legal, or operational reasons.

Revisy may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an Account or Service where reasonably necessary because of:

• violation of these Terms;
• fraud or suspected fraud;
• security threats;
• unauthorized access;
• abusive activity;
• payment failure;
• legal requirements;
• infringement of third-party rights; or
• conduct that materially harms Revisy, the Services, or other users.

Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue.

Termination does not eliminate obligations or liabilities incurred before termination.

You may request Account deletion through functionality made available through the Services or by contacting Revisy using an applicable support or privacy channel.

Deleting an Account may result in the deletion or loss of access to:

• documents;
• User Content;
• Service history;
• reports;
• settings;
• Membership information; and
• other Account-associated data,

subject to applicable retention requirements.

Certain information may be retained where required or permitted for:

• legal compliance;
• accounting or tax obligations;
• fraud prevention;
• security;
• dispute resolution;
• enforcement of agreements; or
• establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Deleted data may remain temporarily in backup or disaster-recovery systems until overwritten or deleted according to applicable retention cycles.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Revisy disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the extent such warranties may legally be disclaimed.

Revisy does not warrant that:

• the Services will always be available;
• the Services will be error-free;
• Outputs will always be accurate or complete;
• all plagiarism or similarity will be detected;
• AI-generated content will always be identified;
• human-written content will never be flagged;
• all writing errors will be identified;
• citations will always be complete or correct; or
• Outputs will satisfy any particular academic, professional, institutional, publication, or third-party standard.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Revisy provides software tools and automated assistance.

The Services do not constitute legal, financial, medical, tax, academic disciplinary, or other regulated professional advice.

You should obtain appropriate professional or institutional guidance where necessary.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Revisy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or relating to the Services or these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Revisy’s aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to Revisy for the applicable Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• USD $100.

The limitations in this Section do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Revisy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from:

• your unlawful use of the Services;
• your material violation of these Terms;
• your User Content;
• your infringement of another person’s rights; or
• fraud or intentional misconduct by you.

This Section does not require indemnification to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY OF INCORPORATION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under applicable law.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you and Revisy agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve disputes relating to these Terms or the Services.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in:

Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking emergency or injunctive relief where legally available or limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Revisy may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
